Lucid arena pro

After 4 years of renovations, the "Terra Australis" opened its doors at Wilhelma in July. The former house for monkeys was completely renovated and welcomed eleven Australian animal species. In addition to the four koalas from Down Under, visitors can now also marvel at tree kangaroos, fox cougars and other marsupials. Most of the animals are nocturnal. To give visitors an interesting insight into the lives of the inhabitants, the animals experience their night during our day.

The 80 built-in Lucid arena pro luminaires from LIGHTS provide the animals with authentic daylight, with the aim of optimising the change of daylight hours as much as possible. Thanks to the integrated DALI control, it is possible to dim the luminaires flexibly and simulate sunrise and sunset through the entire system.

The DALI spotlights are controlled using a large touch display and can be set automatically or manually for the entire house or individual rooms.

With the high colour rendering index (RA) of our Lucid arena spotlights, it is possible to provide animals and plants with light that is very similar to the sun.

Our comprehensive service not only includes assembling the spotlights in our own workshop, but also assessing the project, analysing it and measuring the light on site. We use this information to create customised lighting concepts to ensure optimal lighting conditions for each project.

"The Lights luminaires were installed at Wilhelma ten years ago and are still proving their durability and quality today. The good price-performance ratio convinced us of your luminaires in comparison to the competition."

- Michael Eich ( Technical and Planning Department)

We are delighted to be able to help the animals create an authentic habitat with our Lucid arena pro luminaires and wish them a successful life together.
