Can the luminaires be dimmed?

Can the luminaires be dimmed?

The luminaires can be dimmed using the DALI function and 1-10V. These functions are possible with the models Lucid linea pro/performer, Lucid arena pro, Lucid nova eos, Lucid sirius, Lucid regulus, Lucid nembus, Lucid oculus, Lucid mars, Lucid clean quadra and conversion kit, Lucid quadra as well as Lucid aquarius and pollux.

Can the high-bay luminaires also be used in print shops?

Can the high-bay luminaires also be used in print shops?

Print shops have very high requirements for the color rendering values of luminaires (Ra value) in special areas. The Lucid arena pro range is available as a special version with a color rendering index of CRI 90 (Ra > 90). More precise LED color selections are available at an extra charge.

Can colored lamps also be offered?

Can colored lamps also be offered?

The "natural" color of LEDs is never white - white light is only produced through the use of luminescent dyes (these are often referred to as "phosphor", but today they are no longer phosphor). This means - yes, it is possible to offer luminaires (i.e. LEDs) with specific colors such as red, green, blue, etc.. Minimum quantities/prices cannot be given as a general rule - the luminaire(s) and desired colors must be specifically defined and requested.

Can the luminaires also be used in damp areas or outdoors?

Can the luminaires also be used in damp areas or outdoors?

Luminaires with an IP66 protection rating or higher can be used both in damp areas and outdoors. Our Lucid aquarius and Lucid pollux moisture-proof luminaires and our luminaires for outdoor use are ideal for this.

Can the LED lights be dimmed remotely?

Can the LED lights be dimmed remotely?

There are several options from external providers for radio remote control: WiFi, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, IR.
Which technology can be used depends on various parameters (distance, network with DHCP, control via smartphone, additional cabling, etc.). A solution could have the following structure:
Radio receiver module => converter to 1-10V => power supply unit with 1-10 volt dimming input.

Can the luminaires also be used in the food industry?

Can the luminaires also be used in the food industry?

A food processing company may only use luminaires that are certified in accordance with IFS (International Food Standard) or DIN 10500 (i.e. no use of glass, shatterproof, covered light sources). The diffuser plate in the Lucid arena pro series is made of shatterproof polycarbonate - so it can be used without any problems.

What happens if a single LED in an industrial luminaire is defective? Is the entire luminaire then dark?

What happens if a single LED in an industrial luminaire is defective? Is the entire luminaire then dark?

If an LED is defective, a small LED field goes dark - the rest of the luminaire continues to function.

What average delivery times can I expect?

What average delivery times can I expect?

For standard luminaires (daylight white, 5,000 K), the delivery time is approx. 1 week. For luminaires with other color temperatures or dimmable power supply units, the delivery time is longer.

Is it possible to repair the luminaires? Are spare parts available, e.g. power supply unit, circuit board, etc.?

Is it possible to repair the luminaires? Are spare parts available, e.g. power supply unit, circuit board, etc.?

That depends on the luminaire. However, most luminaires are designed for a service life of approx. 60,000 burning hours (at 25°C). In the case of high-bay luminaires, we offer a general overhaul, i.e. replacement of the light source, power supply unit and light source cover, if it is worthwhile.

Could an increased amount of dust, i.e. a certain layer of dust between the fins (e.g. in a weaving mill) lead to problems with regard to the heating of the lights?

Could an increased amount of dust, i.e. a certain layer of dust between the fins (e.g. in a weaving mill) lead to problems with regard to the heating of the lights?

Dust deposits in the heat sink grooves do not impair functionality. LEDs generate less heat than conventional luminaires and therefore do not get dirty as quickly. Dust cannot burn into the housing and is easy to clean with compressed air.

Does each lamp require its own power supply or could they be supplied in series from a single power source?

Does each lamp require its own power supply or could they be supplied in series from a single power source?

The lights can be powered in series from a single power source. Prices and delivery times on request.

Where does the heat generated by the lights come from?

Where does the heat generated by the lights come from?

The heating of the luminaires comes from the power supply unit and LED light field. The LED light fields convert approx. 35% of the energy supplied into light. The power supply units have an efficiency of approx. 90%.

What is the difference between a conventional light meter and an LED light meter?

What is the difference between a conventional light meter and an LED light meter?

Compared to a conventional light meter, an LED light meter has a spectrometer and sums up every spectrum in the visible range, whereas the conventional light meter works with a filter over a photodiode. The problem here is that this filter is designed for a Plank radiator, which captures less light in the blue range, resulting in errors of up to 100%.
